What will be on it
The free things
Not for sale and listed first anyway. The Priority Services Register, the paper plan, your local risk register, and knocking on two neighbours.
The small shop
Water and a rigid container, two torches, a power bank, a carbon monoxide alarm, a manual tin opener. Under the price of a takeaway between them.
If you want to
A wind-up radio, a fridge thermometer, draught excluders, grit bought in October rather than in the week everyone wants it.
What will not be on it
- Generators, for almost every household. The books explain why.
- Anything sold for self-defence. UK law is the chapter, not the product.
- Long-term food storage systems. A supermarket tin already had the industrial process applied to it.
- A year of food. Our scenarios run from hours to about a week.
